Abstract
The bulk of the material in this collection is related to the Prudential Insurance Company. The Prudential Insurance Company of America, known as the Prudential FriendlySociety until 1877, was founded in Newark by John F. Dryden in 1875. The company's first location was 812 Broad Street; in 1892 the "Main" building was constructed on the corner Broad and Bank Streets.
